Gardening in January

Helllloooooo there!

It has been an exceptionally beautiful day today!  I love when it gets into the 60-70s this time of year. I decided to go ahead and get some seeds ready to be planted in about 8-10 weeks. This will be the first year I have my own garden. I am so excited about it.

I went out and bought a few seeds and a planter. I will be making a few raised beds with old lumber my dad has.

Since this is my first year doing my own garden I wanted to make it as easy as possible. I am sure making your own little planter would be fairly easy I just wanted to take all the mess out of it.

It is fairly easy to use. You water the dirt with warm water and after a few minutes they soak up all of the water and become about 1 inch tall.

Of course I had a little bit of help while getting everything ready!

I ended up not having enough room. I will have to go back and get another one so I can finish up the onions and add the green peppers.

I am so excited to see how it all turns out. Do you do a garden?  What’s your favorite thing to plant?

Until next time
