Outside Adventures with a 4-year-old

Hello there!

So if you didn’t already know we live in Arkansas.  It is such a beautiful state, with trees, mountains, and water all around us.  I love summers in Arkansas.  There is always so much to see and so much to do.  A few weeks ago I wrote about the new walking trails that our city has put up all around us.  A few days after exploring those we decided to go on the other side of the trails and explore the park/disc golf course, we hadn’t been there in a while.

It is beautiful, the trail leads down by the water and on the other side there are picnic tables set up.

Of course, there are boat ramps. There is water everywhere in Arkansas so you are either in it or around it.

This has always been one of my favorite walking bridges.  It usually isn’t really that busy so we got the place to ourselves on this day.

He of course, loves the bridge.

We sat at this spot for a while.  Well, more like I sat and he threw rocks into the water.  He could throw rocks for hours.  But, it warmed up pretty quick this day and we were pouring sweat pretty soon after being here.

It was a beautiful day!  A little hot but, really beautiful.  I always enjoy these little moments.  We don’t even have to go that far from home to explore.

I hope everyone is having a great day in their corner of the world.

Until next time
